Faculty
We will be hiring teachers for 2013-14 in the following areas:
Learning Differences Teacher/Specialist
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred. Experience in working with student with learning differences and strong communication skills needed. This position will include teaching a class for students in the Learning For Success Program to support performance in the academic program and will include work with students in the after school tutorial programs. Preference given to candidates willing to get involved in moderating clubs or other extracurricular activities. Staff
Alumni Director
Job Summary: To advance the mission of St. Pius X High School by building strong relationships among alumni and their families through specialized programming and events and cultivating a solid base of financial support from alumni.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The position of Alumni Director will include the following responsibilities
- Strengthens relationships between alumni of St. Pius X High School and the School
- Develops programs design to re-connect alumni with the School
- Develops alumni-focused events
- Works in conjunction with the Director of the SPX Fund to increase alumni gifts to the Fund
- Works collaboratively with the Advancement Assistant on maintaining accurate alumni records
- Reports to the Director of Advancement
- Performs other duties as requested by the Head of School or the Director of Advancement
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
- Two to three years experience in non-profit fundraising, particularly alumni or constituent relations
- Experience with data entry and reporting using donor databases, preferably Raisers’ Edge
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends and philosophy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative and data management skills, including close attention to detail
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Positive, “can do” attitude
- Self-motivation
- Flexibility
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Blackbaud Database Systems, particularly Raiser’s Edge

Annual Fund Director
Job Summary: To advance the mission of St. Pius X High School by building strong relationships among the School community, cultivating a solid base of support for annual giving, and effectively administering the Annual Fund.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Annual Fund Director will have responsibility for the following areas:
- All aspects of the Annual Fund, including recruiting volunteer leadership, promotional events, oversight of all mailings, phon-a-thons, gift processing, record keeping, and reporting
- Creation and implementation of targeted asks, including direct mail, email solicitations, and selected personal solicitations
- All events related to the Annual Fund and other school programming events as deemed appropriate
- Cultivation of assigned donor prospects
- Development of new and implementation of existing stewardship programs
- Collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator to actively recruit volunteers
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Four-year college degree or higher
- One to three years experience in non-profit fundraising
- Experience with data entry and reporting using donor databases, preferably Raisers’ Edge
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends and philosophy

Coaches
