Financial Aid
Families seeking financial aid must file an online application through the Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) Program. The deadline for financial aid applications for the 2013-2014 was February 15, 2013. After February 15, online applications for financial aid for the 2013-2014 school year are available through the St. Pius X website only for transfer students and students that have a family status change. The family status change includes divorce, birth or adoption of a child, death of a spouse or child, loss of employment, involuntary reduction of hours worked or medical illness.
Additional Commitments
A key component of Catholic education is stewardship. In 2012-2013, St. Pius X students were expected to sell a minimum of $320 of raffle tickets in support of the spring fundraiser. This amount may be slightly increased in 2013-2014. Parents will be encouraged to participate (at a level commensurate with each family's ability to give) in the Annual Fund Drive in the fall. In both efforts, our goal is 100% participation as a sign our School community fully supports the mission of St. Pius X.
Books
St. Pius X has contracted with Avalon Company to process the sale and purchase of textbooks. In May, there will be a campus buyback of textbooks. Seniors will be able to sell their books at St. Pius X on the last day of senior exams. Underclassmen will be able to sell their books at St. Pius X on the last day of underclassmen exams.
In July, students will be purchasing books online through myschoolbookstore.com. More details on times and locations will be provided in mailings and on the website.
Transportation
The use of carpools is encouraged by St. Pius X for those students who may live in the outlying areas. If anyone is interested in carpooling please call the school at 713-579-7506 (Ms. Flores) and a list of the students living in your zip code will be provided to you.
